About Bryce Rudland

Bryce Rudland is a passionate patient advocate within the acoustic neuroma community, bringing both personal experience and extensive professional expertise as a public healthcare Physiotherapist. Living in Canmore, AB, Bryce was incidentally diagnosed with a large left-sided acoustic neuroma in March of 2024.  Following urgent neurosurgery he experienced significant complications, including complete left-sided facial paralysis and hearing loss. Bryce underwent a cross-face nerve graft procedure that same year. Between these surgeries, he discovered ANAC through a web search and has tremendous appreciation for the unyielding support and incalculably beneficial resources our organization provides.

This firsthand experience ignited Bryce’s desire to connect with and support others facing similar challenges. Professionally, Bryce has a strong background in ethics, governance, innovation, program development, quality improvement, and leadership within Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health. His experience includes academic instruction, developing clinical resources, leading teams, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Bryce feels fortunate to join ANAC’s Board of Directors and is committed to raising awareness about acoustic neuromas, promoting patient-centered care, and advocating for the dedicated healthcare providers supporting the community.
